How to play 24 game online
Use all four printed cards exactly once to make 24. You may add, subtract, multiply or divide, and use parentheses. Fractions and negative intermediate values are allowed. Division by zero is not.
A first example
Combine 1 and 2 to make 3. Combine that 3 with the printed 3 to make 6. Multiply 6 by 4. Both cards showing 3 have distinct origins and each is used once.
Build or type
Select two available pieces and choose an operator. The selection badges show operand 1 and 2; subtraction and division follow that order. A combined piece keeps its full expression below the value. Alternatively, type an expression using the four original printed numbers and choose Check expression.
When fractions help
The intermediate result 1 − 3/4 is 1/4. Dividing 6 by 1/4 makes 24. A fraction shown on a card is exact, so rounding does not change whether you win.
Hints
A hint finds a valid continuation from your current pieces and makes its first combination. If your pieces cannot reach 24, it undoes the last combination. Hints check exact rational arithmetic, rather than approximate decimals.
Keyboard
Tab to a piece or operator, then press Enter or Space. The expression field supports standard text editing and parentheses. There are twelve puzzles in three groups: Starter, Stretch and Challenge.
Your progress
Each puzzle keeps its own moves in this browser. Choose another puzzle to revisit it. Undo also takes back a hint or restart. If saving fails, the notice gives the reason and a recovery action. Damaged saved data is kept until you explicitly replace it.
